Ahmed Kamal

Mr. Ahmed Kamal is the Chief Engineering Adviser and Chairman Federal Flood Commission of the Ministry of Water Resources, Government of Pakistan. He has over 30 years of professional experience in the field of water resources management, flood control planning and management, DRR, flood forecasting and warning systems, and disaster risk insurance. He has worked on the implementation of National Flood Protection Plans II & III, and Flood Protection Sector Projects, I & II. Mr.

Taichi Minamitani

Mr. Minamitani Taichi sis the Director of the Disaster Risk Reduction Division 1, Global Environment Department, Japany International Cooperation Agency (JICA). He joined JICA in 2007. His division is in charge of JICA's flood and landslide projects globally. This includes JICA's operations for the 2022 Pakistan flood. He holds a Master’s degrees from Kyoto University, Japan, and King’s College London, UK, and is currently a PhD candidate.
 

Julius Matthes

Julius has worked with the Samoa Water Authority since 2015 and has extensive experience in managing Non-Revenue Water. He is currently working on the project: Capacity Enhancement Project for Samoa Water Authority in Cooperation with Okinawa, which focuses on reducing Non-Revenue Water and providing safe and sustainable water supply.
