Modernizing Irrigation Systems to Adapt to Water Scarcity in Drought Affected Provinces of Viet Nam

Extreme weather conditions cause food shortages, floods, diseases, and drought that put millions of people and crops at risk in many countries. One example is the El Nino in 2015 which caused food shortages, diseases, and severe droughts in many countries in Asia, including Viet Nam. This learning event shares several innovative practices and insights gained from an ADB-led project in Viet Nam that can help other countries improve water efficiency and supply in drought-affected provinces.
