Freda is Professor of Education and International Development at the Open University, the UK where she has held a number of management positions including Associate Dean for the Faculty of Education and Language Studies.

Saalim Koomar is involved in both research and engagement work at the Hub. He supports the building and uptake of evidence to support effective decision-making. He has recently been involved in projects concerning teacher professional development, country scoping studies, and various Helpdesk requests. 

Dr. Sara Hennessy is a Reader in Teacher Development and Pedagogical Innovation in the Faculty of Education at the University of Cambridge. She is a Research Director of EdTech Hub, a multi-million-pound 8-year program funded by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. The Hub investigates the potential for using educational technology to raise outcomes for marginalized learners in low- and middle-income countries.

Dato’ Ts. Dr. Mohammad Naim Bin Yaakub held the position of Director-General, Colombo Plan Staff College (CPSC) for Technical Education in Manila from 2011 to 2015. He is a Committee Member of the Building Innovation and Learning Project in TVET (BILT) at UNESCO-UNEVOC, Bonn, Germany. His previous role as Director General, Department of Polytechnic Education and Community Colleges, Ministry of Higher Education included leading 36 Polytechnics and 104 Community Colleges throughout Malaysia.

Woonghwan An is a director of the University Affairs and Policy Division, which has played a significant role to build the human and technical infrastructure and improve the education system for online learning for higher education institutions. He has served as a Deputy Director and Director in the Ministry of Education Republic of Korea since 2003. He worked in the field of higher education policy, STEM Education in K-12 education, and Education Policy Analysis and Evaluation. He received his Ph.D.
