Strategies for Effective Gender Action Plan Implementation and Reporting

Gender Unit PRM organized a workshop on “Improving Gender Equality Results in ADB Financed Projects” with a focus on increasing participants’ knowledge on ADB’s gender mainstreaming policy guidelines, Strategy 2030 Operational Plan for OP2: Acceleration progress in Gender Equality (2019-2024), and strengthening mechanisms for effective implementation and monitoring of projects’ Gender Action Plans (GAPs).

David McDermont is an international e-Government Procurement consultant, with 26 years’ experience to date gained while working in 38 countries. This includes conducting National E-Government Procurement assessments (18 countries), assessing e-procurement systems reviewing the effectiveness of National Procurement  Management Agencies and developing Strategic Implementation Plans.

Knowledge Sharing among ADB Member Countries

Some countries in Asia and the Pacific have taken creative and out-of-the box initiatives through public policies and public and private investments. Discussions in this session focus on what has been done so far and adopted by member countries of the Asian Development Bank. The sector profiles and developments showcase knowledge sharing and learning by participants to reflect on the good models that their countries can adopt.
