Vince Michael Docta

Vince is a development professional with 20 years of experience working with INGOs, MDBs/IFIs, consulting firms, and the academe in cross-cutting themes and issues. He looks after the long-standing partnership between the ADB and WWF by serving as the focal point for the continuous development, facilitation and coordination of the WWF network's strategic collaboration with the ADB. 

Meeting Between Civil Society Organizations and ADB Senior Management

ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa met with CSO participants of the 56th ADB Annual Meeting. He invited CSOs to dialogue constructively with ADB and looks forward to hearing ideas and solutions from CSOs on meeting ADB’s climate ambition and rebounding from the COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed appreciation for the CSOs’ extensive participation in the ongoing Safeguard Policy Statement review, particularly in areas of safeguard implementation, stakeholders’ participation, grievance redress, and protection of communities from reprisals.

In his opening remarks, ADB Vice President for East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Ahmed Saeed highlighted that ensuring sustainable energy and development in the region cannot happen until it is just. He confirmed that more than mobilizing financing, knowledge, and collaboration with a range of actors to ensure sustainable and clean energy, ADB is doing purposeful work toward just transition.
