Use of ICT in Pedestrian Safety Read more about Use of ICT in Pedestrian Safety With mobile phone application as the main tool, youth-led urban safety audits were held in Metro Manila in the Philippines. ADB Youth for Asia designed and executed a pilot study on pedestrian safety using the mobile application called Safetipin. A tool kit will also be produced out of this pilot study, and outputs will be presented to the Gender, Urban, and Transport Sectors and Thematic Groups at ADB to explore integration of youth-led innovation through apps into ADB projects.
Effective Civil Society Organization Engagement in the Pacific for Better Development Results Read more about Effective Civil Society Organization Engagement in the Pacific for Better Development Results This learning event aimed to build the capacity of focal persons in civil society organizations (CSOs) and select project officers in the Pacific Department (PARD) of ADB in terms of collaborating in designing and implementing ADB projects. The purpose is to develop mechanisms for engaging CSOs to take part in project activities, which includes monitoring project outputs. The event also served as a venue for PARD staff and development coordinators to share good practice examples in working with CSOs, as some of them have been implementing action plans to improve CSO cooperation.
