Krishna Yogi

Krishna Jogi currently works as Deputy Head of Programme and Strategic Programme Manager in the UN World Food Programme (WFP), Nepal. He manages WFP's emergency response, climate change adaptation, resilience, and livelihoods program portfolios. He brings more than 20 years of professional experience in the humanitarian and development sector working with UNDP, UN Women, UN Resident Coordinator's Office, UN OCHA, bilateral projects, and NGOs.

Bhim Prasad Paneru

Bhim Prasad is the current Training Chief at Education Training Centre, Provincial Office, Sudurpaschim Province, Dipayal, Doti, Nepal. 

He has a Master's Degree in Health Education. 

He had the opportunity to participate in training and professional conferences organized by other INGOs/NGOs inside and outside the country.

He also conducted various training for Education Officers, Education Assistants, Resource Persons/Teachers, Headteachers, Teachers, and other professionals.

Solar Organic Rankine Cycle Technology for Electricity Generation, Heating and Cooling: A New Pathway for Sustainable Development in Himalayas and Terai Regions of Nepal

Solar organic Rankine cycle technology (SORC) uses thermal energy from the sun to produce electricity. In addition, it provides hot water, space heating, and cooling for people living in Himalayas and Terai regions of Nepal. Furthermore, it displaces the need of using kerosene or other traditional sources for lighting homes in remote areas of Nepal. Overall, when this technology will be fully matured, it could be one of the appropriate technologies for the sustainable development of the country.

Suresh Baral

Suresh Baral is an Assistant Professor in School of Engineering, Pokhara University, Nepal. He earned his Doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at Pusan National University, South Korea. His teaching and research are in the areas of renewable energy and design of thermal systems. Recently, he has been engaged in projects on the solar ORC technology funded by University Grants Commission and PURC, Pokhara University. Besides, he serves as reviewer for several international journals. Dr.

WaterAid: A WASH strong COVID-19 response

In this presentation, WaterAid shared their response to COVID-19 in Asia and the Pacific, specifically in the eight countries they work in: Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, and Timor-Leste. Given the changing dynamics of the pandemic, WaterAid has taken a context-specific and phased approach to support government-led action plans, depending on rate of transmission and lockdowns, and prioritizing the most marginalized groups.
