Dr. Annadel Salvio Cabanban is the Head of Office of Wetlands International Philippines and Program Manager for To Plant or Not to Plant and Building with Nature Initiative Asia – Philippines. She is trained as a Marine Biologist at the University of the Philippines, Quezon City, and at James Cook University, Townsville City (Australia).
In this presentation, the speaker gave insights on Bangladesh’ infrastructure projects and recommended best practices for road water management for coastal and lowland areas.
Saroj Yakami has worked over the past 10 years in water resource management covering water resources, agriculture, irrigation, and water harvesting. He has been involved as Country Manager in Nepal working on (i) water security, climate change, and community resilience; (ii) road water management and resilience; (iii) inclusion of people with disabilities in agriculture water management. He has been actively engaged in the development of the guidelines for Protecting and Developing Springs in local road development in hill and mountain areas of Nepal.
This presentation gives an overview of sponge cities and measures for green infrastructure and nature-based solutions as well as other benefits of sponge city projects.
