Harry Thomson

Harry has an engineering background, working on a variety of projects within Shetland. He has worked on the ORION project since May 2021, joining Shetland Islands Council’s Future Energy Team. Their task is to identify pathways for Shetland to switch from dependency on fossil fuels towards cleaner forms of energy use. Harry is focused on issues surrounding electrification and affordable energy, along with port and quayside infrastructure.

Ferhat Acuner

Ferhat Acuner was born on 12.12.1966 in Istanbul. Mr. Acuner holds a bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from the Istanbul Technical University.

He started his career in 1987, with 33 years of engineering experience today Mr. Acuner has been the General Manager of Navtek Naval Technologies INC., since 1999.

Before joining Navtek Naval Technologies, he served in the management and project developments of distinguished companies in Shipbuilding, Naval Design, Ship Operations, and Ship repair.

Omer A. Zafar

Omer serves as a Principal Natural Resources and Agriculture Specialist of the Asian Development Bank, covering Southeast Asia. He is currently based at the ADB resident mission in Lao PDR.

Before joining ADB, he worked for IFAD and UNOPS, where he covered about 35 countries of Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North Africa, and the Caribbean. Most recently, Omer served as IFAD Country Director for Bangladesh and the Maldives.

Narayan Iyer

Narayan is an agribusiness specialist with SDCC. His areas of interest include development of sustainable agribusinesses, protection and growth of natural capital, green financing – farm level to corporates, food security, ag-tech and private sector- led development. Narayan has worked across a spectrum of areas in wholesale banking and financial services with a strong domain focus in Agribusiness. His skillsets include client management, debt investment, equity research, strategy, credit risk evaluation and mentoring start-ups.

Sanya Grover

Sanya, a Program Management Officer for ADB's program on oceans, plays a crucial role in overseeing various aspects of the program. Her responsibilities encompass portfolio management, monitoring and evaluation, as well as driving increased investments by enhancing and strengthening blue components within pipeline projects. She holds a Master's degree in Sustainability Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences (honours) from the University of Delhi.

Mark Eigenraam

For more than twenty years, Mark has lead research, development, and application of environmental markets and ecosystem accounting. This work has engaged a wide variety of industries, academic institutions, and government agencies at regional, state, and national levels. It has equipped Mark with a deep understanding of the complex issues surrounding the sustainable management of natural capital. Mark applied his market-based experience to inform Australia’s approach to environmental-economic accounting.
