Maria Pia Ancora

For over 20 years, Maria Pia has led climate-resilient urban development programs and environmental policy advisory in Asia, focusing on water, energy, air pollution, circular economy, and, recently special economic zones. Since 2019, she has overseen the Asian Development Bank’s urban, water, and climate programs in the South Caucasus, emphasizing digital tools. She currently also acts as the WUD focal for ADB’s partnership with OECD. An Italian native, she holds a Master’s in Environmental Engineering and Land Use Planning from Trento University and a Ph.D.

Mi-young Kim

Mi-young Kim began her career as a government official in Jeju Province in 1990. She worked on various areas, including information technology, energy, and smart grid. She transferred to the Low-carbon Policy Division in August 2020. She is the representative for facilitating policies for carbon-free island Jeju 2030; installing green mobility infrastructure, establishing hydrogen energy economy; and accelerating the shift to renewable energy.
