Karen Grace Ochavo

Karen is an Environment Officer under the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department of the Asian Development Bank. Her current role supports the Regional Flyway Initiative, a large-scale transboundary program that seeks to mobilize investments to protect, restore, and sustainably manage a comprehensive network of threatened wetlands along the East Asian-Australasian Flyway of migratory waterbirds. Karen has combined work experience in environmental sustainability and safeguards, water resources, clean energy and climate finance sectors.

Neil Ian Lumanlan

Ian is a circular economy and biotechnology professional specializing in the valorization of waste biomass to address climate change and sustainable development goals.

He has a wide range of practical experience in microbial biotechnology in food and agriculture, aquaculture, water and wastewater, waste management, bioremediation, and pharmaceuticals. He has been an independent consultant since 2005. In 2012 he founded DMFP, a probiotics manufacturing business for the poultry and livestock industry in the Philippines.

Benjamin Dorsey

Benjamin (Ben) Dorsey MSc. Ben is an Environmental Scientist - Spatial Data Specialist. Ben currently works for Parks Canada as an Ecosystem Geomatics Technician working on Mountain Goat and Caribou projects. He has studied the impacts of railways and roads on wildlife for the past 14 years. His career has focused on developing solutions to ecosystem and transportation challenges by applying Geographic Information System technologies. He has worked with the China Academy of Transportation Sciences and in a number of other countries around the world. 

Sumit Pokhrel

Sumit Pokhrel is Environment Specialist of the Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture Division in the South Asia Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). He is responsible for preparing and administering projects and programs and engaging in the areas of environment, and climate change.

Fay Luxford

Fay Luxford is a senior coastal flood risk analyst based in Skipton, UK.

Fay has over 11 years of professional experience designing and implementing methodologies using the best available extreme value statistical techniques and oceanographic models to assess coastal flood risk. Fay has worked assessing the flood risk from storm surges, tides, and waves from tropical and non-tropical storms in the UK, Australia, Canada, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Pakistan.

Diane Gail Maharjan

Diane Gail Maharjan is the current OIC-Assistant Director of the Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment Staff of NEDA. She has been with the national planning agency for 12.5 years and has been shepherding policy review, planning, and programming for the environment and natural resources sector. Ms. Maharjan led the formulation of, and the current midterm updating of the Environment Chapter of the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022 including its accompanying Results Matrix and Public Investment Program.

Amber Sparks

Amber is an oceanographer, environmental scientist and entrepreneur. She has a B.A. in Marine Science from UC Berkeley and a M.A.S in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation from Scripps Institution of Oceanography. In 2018, Amber was recognized on Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the energy sector for her work with Blue Latitudes to develop sustainable, creative, and cost-effective solutions for the environmental issues that surround the offshore energy industry.
