Harshita Rathi

Harshita Rathi is a Project Manager at Dalberg Advisor’s Mumbai office. Her work spans gender, education, employment, water and sanitation, anti-trafficking, and humanitarian assistance sectors. She led the ADB engagement with Dalberg which looked at how private financing can be catalyzed for water and sanitation in India through financial and non-financial instruments. Among her other water and sanitation engagements are working with a global charity to segment the water and sanitation value chains and mapping challenges financers face in serving small business operators.

Meekyung Shin

Meekyung Shin is Education Specialist at Education Sector Group, Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department, Asian Development Bank. She is specialized in the innovation and internationalization of higher education. Before she joined ADB, she worked for higher education divisions in Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea as director or deputy director, including university students affairs, employment and startup support, graduate program (including law and medicine), university scholarship and loan.

This session highlighted the opportunities for transformative changes in rural development and food security; how ADB's approach will adjust in the next 5 to 10 years; and how the technical revolution will affect farmer's access to financing.
