Aziz, a national of Tajikistan, joined ADB in 2009 as a Young Professional (Economics). In 2011-2012 he continued there as Country Economist. From 2013–to March 2015, he was a PPP Specialist at the Southeast Asia Department’s Public Management and Finance Division. From April 2015 to June 2017, he was an Infrastructure Economist in the Indonesia Resident Mission. From June 2017–June 2020, Aziz was with Azerbaijan Resident Mission as Senior Portfolio Management Specialist.

Mr. Ginting heads ADB country operations in Bangladesh. He manages country relations and looks after a $13 billion portfolio covering energy, transport, urban infrastructure, water supply and sanitation, education, agriculture and natural resources, and finance sectors. He oversees the implementation of the ADB Country Partnership Strategy for Bangladesh (2021–2025) and leads ADB’s policy dialogue with government counterparts, civil society, and other partners.

Ms. Sabyrova, a national of Kazakhstan, holds a Doctorate and Master’s degree in Economics from Indiana University, United States. She also holds a Diploma in Political Economy from Kazakh State University, Kazakhstan.
 

Prof. Dr. Jordi Paniagua is a professor of economics at the University of Valencia, Department of Applied Economics II. He has an academic and applied specialization in Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and online networking. In his academic career, he has published papers in leading academic journals in the field of international economics and business. He has worked as telecommunications engineer in multinational enterprises and served in the public administration in the area of FDI promotion and policy-making.

Elvira is an Economist at Jefa de Evaluación del Gasto Público - Ministerio de Hacienda, Government of Paraguay.

She graduated from University of Paraguay with a Masters in Finance. 

Mr. Hinrichs joined ADB as Natural Resources Economist in 2015. He is designing and implementing loan and technical assistance projects in the agriculture sector of East Asian countries. Developing projects with the application of internet-connected sensors to enhance traceability and access to e-commerce has been a focus of his work.

Paul is an economist with over 18 years of experience in Australia, the Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. He has previously worked as an economist with the Australian Government and also been based in Beijing between 2000 and 2004 and Hong Kong, China from 2008 to 2012. He is currently based in Singapore since 2013 where he leads KPMG Singapore’s Economic and Regulation practice, a team of economic, policy, and regulatory professionals.

Jong-Wha Lee is a professor of economics and director of the Asiatic Research Institute at Korea University. He served as a senior adviser for international economic affairs to former President of South Korea. He previously served as Chief Economist and Head of the Office of Regional Economic Integration at the Asian Development Bank and an economist at the International Monetary Fund.

Cyn-Young Park is Director of the Regional Cooperation and Integration Division in the Economics Research and Regional Cooperation Department of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In her current capacity, she manages a team of economists to examine economic and policy issues related to regional cooperation and integration (RCI) and develop strategies and approaches to support RCI.

Asha Sundaram is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Economics, Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Auckland.  She has an MPhil in Economics from the University of Oxford, the United Kingdom, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Syracuse University, United States.  Her research interests are in the fields of International Trade and Development Economics.
