Blair Spendelow is a Senior Coastal and Marine Specialist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the Agriculture, Food, Nature, and Rural Development Sector Office. He leads projects that strengthen coastal resilience, safeguard marine ecosystems, and support strategic adaptation planning across Asia and the Pacific. 

Doug has a background in coastal management and engineering with particular expertise in the areas of coastal processes, coastal engineering and shoreline management, coastal hazard and risk assessment, disaster risk reduction, climate change and adaptation, environmental assessment, and community participation. The first ten years of his career was spent at HR Wallingford in the UK where he was involved in coastal management projects across the UK, Europe, Caribbean, South America and SE Asia.

Alessio Giardino is a climate adaptation and disaster risk management specialist with over 18 years’ experience of professional experience in the water sector, including both specialized consultancy and research. His current focus at ADB is on the development and implementation of innovative methodologies and techniques to enhance climate resilience in water projects.

Brett Sutton is an agronomist and environmental scientist with ADB PSOD's agribusiness investment team. He works to optimize development impact imparted by agribusiness investment and technical assistance projects, including through improving climate and disaster resilience of smallholder farmers and food supply chains.
