Madeline Suarez

Madeline leads grassroots efforts for urban poor housing solutions in the context of heat waves, recurring typhoons causing floods, and infrastructure loss in the region. As a member of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines and the Huairou Commission, she champions inclusive resilience and gender justice in urban communities. Through non-violent campaigns, Madeline secured government support for the People's Plan, facilitating housing for 900 Informal Settler Families. 

Yugesh Pradhanang

Yugesh is a seasoned development professional with over 20 years of expertise in urban development, local governance, and climate resilience. He has successfully led transformative projects for UNDP in crisis and middle-income countries such as Afghanistan, Ukraine, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Georgia. His work focuses on strengthening community resilience, enhancing sustainable livelihoods, promoting gender equality, and fostering climate adaptation in urban settings.

Srinvasa Popuri

Srinivasa oversees programmes across South and Southeast Asia. He has over 25 years of experience in the field of human settlements and urban development. His extensive career includes significant roles within the United Nations, where he has worked for over 19 years across various countries in Asia and the Pacific. Srinivasa has held key positions such as the Senior Human Settlements Officer at UN-Habitat, where he has been instrumental in advancing the Habitat agenda.

Sirat Mahmuda

Dr. Sirat Mahmdua Joined the Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance as Deputy Secretary on 5 September 2022. Since then she has been working with the UN Wing mainly dedicated funds including the Green Climate Fund (GCF), Global Environment Facility (GEF) and Adaptation Fund (AF). She is working with the Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action and V20 and has been assigned as the Focal Point for Global Shield Against Climate Risk in Bangladesh. She drives initiatives that promote climate resilience and sustainable economic development.
