Takeshi Shiihara

Having worked for a Japanese commercial bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Japanese Government, Mr. Shiihara joined the Asian Development Bank in September 2008. Since then, he has been involved in processing as well as administration of energy sector projects for such countries as Bhutan, Cambodia, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea, among others. 

Since January 2024, he has been designated as the Project Administration Unit Head, looking after administration of all energy sector projects from Southeast Asia and the Pacific.

Jurg Grutter

Jürg Grütter has worked for more than 30 years on sustainable transport, linking climate finance with transport. He has helped develop GHG transport methodologies and more than 300 sustainable transport projects linked to climate finance. He was a member of the Technology Executive Committee and advisory board member of the Climate Technology Centre and Network of the UNFCCC as a representative of the Swiss government.

ADB, USAID, and the Korea Energy Agency are organizing the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) 2018 with the aim of sharing best practices in policy, technology, and finance to meet the region's climate and energy security challenges.
