Fang Fang

Mr. Fang is mainly engaged in research on rural renewable energy and agricultural resources environmental protection policies. He has participated in the organization and implementation of the National Agricultural Diffuse Pollution Prevention Project, Agricultural Wild Plant Protection Project, Invasive Species Control Project and Rural Biagas Project. He has also engaged in the implementation of some international environmental conventions, including the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).

Wei Liu

Wei Liu is a Senior Sustainability Scientist at the Luohan Academy of the Alibaba Group. He has 15 years of research and practical experience on sustainable development, through internationally funded projects in China, South and Southeast Asia, Southern African, and Europe. He publishes extensively in international peer-reviewed journals on topics related to nature conservation, climate change and sustainability transition.

Jianyu Zhang

Jianyu Zhang is the Senior Advisor, China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED). He is well known for his leadership and contribution to the establishment of China’s Carbon Trading System, the largest in the world. He found the China program of Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) in 1999 and was VP of EDF. He is an executive board director of China Association for International NGO Cooperation (CANGO).  Zhang got his advanced degrees from Tsinghua University (Bachelor), Stanford University (Master), and Carnegie Mellon University (Ph.D.).

Digital Economy and Carbon Neutrality

With a gross domestic product share of 38.6% in 2020, the country’s digital economy is considered to play a key role in achieving this carbon neutrality target. This initiative is supportive of ADB’s recent announcement of an increased ambition of $100 billion in climate finance by 2019-2030, as well as UNFCCC COP26's call on scaling up the investments in climate change adaptation and achieving carbon neutrality.
