Asian Development Bank: The Business Case for Health Impact Assessment (HIA)

Years of experience on Health Impact Assessment (HIA) and safeguard processes provided the momentum to strengthen HIA practice within ADB procedures and its developing member countries (DMCs). This was done through developing capacity in member countries, supporting policy and guideline development, and undertaking various HIA demonstration projects.

Throughout his career, he has orchestrated multiple procurement transformation and modernization efforts, implemented procurement best practices, and expanded spend under management to drive significant stakeholder value. As a procurement practitioner, he is especially passionate about driving value, ensuring high alignment with world class procurement practices, sustainability, and ensuring equity and inclusion.

He left his position in ADB in April 2021.

Anthony Gill

Anthony heads the Portfolio Administration Unit at ADB’s Cambodia Resident Mission. Before moving to Cambodia, Anthony was a member of the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Cooperation Program Secretariat, and the Head of both Portfolio Administration and Country Programming for ADB’s Indonesia Resident Mission. Prior to working in Southeast Asia, Anthony was the Head of Programming and the Country Economist for Palau and the Federated States of Micronesia.
