The Regional Forum on Successful Project Design and Implementation is a gathering of developing member countries’ policy makers, practitioners, and project implementers for a series of solution seeking discussions and knowledge sharing to improve processes and results in ADB-supported projects. This year’s theme is Strengthening Project Readiness and Monitoring in a Post-Covid Asia and Pacific.

Workshop objective: To strengthen the capacity of wetland managers, policymakers, and conservation practitioners for sustainable wetland management through an in-depth understanding of wetland ecosystem services and how to assess them.

Economic corridor development (ECD) plays a crucial role in promoting regional cooperation and integration (RCI). A successful ECD will increase connectivity through trade integration and infrastructure development leading to increased regional economic growth. ECD becomes more important for post-COVID-19 recovery and growth, providing holistic solutions for digitalization, services trade, supply chain restructuring, and greening economies.

A new study, Southeast Asia’s Aviation Sector: Post-Pandemic Strategies and the Implications of a Rapid Recovery, projected the region's aviation sector could be 90% recovered by the end of 2023 and that the outlook is generally bright. However, the study said the last leg of the recovery or the final 10% capacity would likely be the most difficult to achieve due to fleet and manpower constraints.

LGBTQIA+ people and communities continue to experience stigma and discrimination, which negatively affect their employment prospects and access to healthcare, education, and social protection. This type of exclusion is also detrimental to economies and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
