ADB Business Opportunities Seminar with Bangladesh 2022
Bangladesh Resident Mission (BRM) of ADB organized the Business Opportunities Seminar (BOS) annually as its flagship event to bring talent and opportunities together to contribute to the development of Bangladesh. BOS apprises the business opportunities available in the ADB-funded projects in Bangladesh. Currently, the country's uncontracted amount under ADB-funded projects is about $4.5 billion. BOS generates interest among the contractors and consultants to explore opportunities in ADB-funded projects, helps to locate ADB’s business opportunities, prepares high-quality and responsive bids and proposals, and informs ADB’s procurement procedures and anticorruption policy. The BOS will contribute to accelerating the country’s economic development.
This national-level seminar was conducted in person at Bangabandhu International Conference Center, Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka. Over 400 participants from different business sectors joined. Experts from ADB and business communities facilitated the seminar. Earlier this year, BRM conducted three district-level workshops for potential bidders at Cox’s Bazar on 1 September 2022 targeted for business opportunities of Emergency Assistance Project – Additional Financing (EAP-AF); and at Barishal and Khulna on 28 July and 22 September respectively targeted for upcoming business opportunities of proposed Coastal Towns Climate Resilience Project (CTCRP).
