Humayun Kabir provides procurement support and oversight to country operations with technical expertise in the procurement of goods, works, and services. Since joining ADB in April 2015, Humayun supported the transport sector operations in Bangladesh and managed loans, grants, and technical assistance processing, implementation, and conducted procurement of large-scale civil works, goods, and consultancy contracts. Humayun is also managing the BRM procurement database monitoring tool.
Humayun has over 15 years of professional experience in project management and procurement. He is PASS accredited, CIPS (L-2) qualified, PMP and CP3P (foundation) certified, and has a Bachelor’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning at the Bangladesh University of Engineer and Technology (BUET) and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from University of Dhaka. Prior to joining ADB, he worked for JICA from October 2011, in Dhaka, as a program officer, and supported JICA’s infrastructure operations in Bangladesh. He also worked in a consulting firm for five years as a project manager, providing project implementation support of consultancy services in developing countries in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Samoa.
