Making Access to Information a Meaningful Right: The Freedom of Information Program One Year On 5 to 6 December 2017 Philippines This summit marked the one-year anniversary celebration of the implementation of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Program in the Philippines under Executive Order No. 2 signed by the President on 23 July 2016. It brought together relevant actors within government, as well as partner institutions and international experts, for a two-day learning session to exchange experiences, discuss good practices, and attend a problem-solving workshop on key functions associated with FOI implementation, i.e., information and records management, FOI request processing procedures, and proactive disclosure of information.
