Kate Medlicott

Kate is the Sanitation and Waste Team Leader within the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) team at WHO in Geneva, Switzerland. In this role, Kate is responsible for translating evidence to policy and practice through WHO guidelines and health sector collaborations where sanitation is a critical component of risk and disease control (such as antimicrobial resistance and neglected tropical diseases).

Kate is also coordinating WHO’s activities on environmental surveillance for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Abdul Malik Sadat Idris

Abdul Malik Sadat Idris is the Director for Irrigation and Water Resources of Ministry of National Development Planning/BAPPE, Indonesia.

Mr. Idris was a Panelist at the Resilient Infrastructure Recovery and Building Back Better by JICA, Japan, 2020. He was a Speaker at the Japan Exposure Visit by World Bank, Japan, 2019; Speaker at the 3rd World Irrigation Forum (WIF3) & 70th IEC Meeting by INACID, Indonesia, 2019; Speaker at the Water Week of World Bank, USA, 2019; and Speaker at the 27th Annual CCPP Conference on Public-Private Partnerships, Canada, 2019.

Maria Vicedo Ferrer

Maria is an Urban Development Specialist at the Asian Development Bank with over 10 years of

experience working for the private sector, government, and development institutions on infrastructure, urban planning, disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation. She has experience developing and implementing projects to mitigate urban flooding, improve water security and waste management, and enhance resilience to disaster risks and climate change. She holds a double masters’ degree in civil engineering from the Polytechnic University of Valencia and the ESTP Paris.
