New Urban Agenda

This presentation discusses the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, gives a description of the new urban world, and shares strategies on how to operationalize the Habitat III roadmap reflecting the new urban agenda. The experience of the Philippines in localizing the Millennium Development Goals is also examined.

Aijun Qui

Dr. Aijun Qiu, Deputy Director-General and Research Fellow, China Center for Urban Development, National Development and Reform Commission; Consultant to the World Bank (WB) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB); Executive Director, China Society of Urban Economy. Previously in the State Commission for Structural Reform, she took charge of projects of small town and community development in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme and the United Nations Children's Fund.

2016 ADB-Asian Think Tank Development Forum

With the theme, “Promoting Sustainable Urbanization in Asia and the Pacific”, the 2016 Asian Development Bank (ADB)-Asian Think Tank Development Forum gathered around 70 participants representing 24 countries in the region.
