Copenhagen – a smart livable and resilient city

Ms. Lykke Leonardsen, City of Copenhagen's Head of Program for Resilient and Sustainable Cities, spoke about the city's work on adaptation and resilience and its journey to becoming a smart and resilient city. She shared Copenhagen's vision of working with all city stakeholders to co-create the most livable city in the world and how the city will deliver this to future generations in terms of climate action, carbon emissions reduction, and resiliency. She further underscored the value of understanding what matters to their city stakeholders and how this influences their planning.​

Peter Frans

He has experience working as a consultant with the ADB, the World Bank, Japan International Cooperation Agency, Islamic Development Bank, and International Fund for Agricultural Development on various projects for more than 10 years. His expertise is in the areas of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Water Resources, Mining and Energy, Spatial Planning and Settlements, Urban Infrastructure and Buildings, Roads and Bridges, Community Empowerment, Education, and Training.

Milan Thomas

Milan joined the ADB in September 2020. He has a decade of experience in the design, implementation, and evaluation of development innovations from previous positions at USAID and Results for Development Institute (Washington D.C.). His work includes agriculture, development finance, education, health, nutrition, sanitation, and urbanization projects, with a geographic focus on Southeast Asia. Milan completed a Ph.D. in Economics at Georgetown University and a B.A. in Economics at the University of Cambridge.

High-Level Seminar on Quality Infrastructure Investment in Asia

Cohosted by ADBI and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), back-to-back with the Group of 20 (G20) Investors Dialogue, this high-level seminar provided insights on strengthening the global infrastructure development agenda and convergence between the G20 and developing Asian economies. It brought together senior policy makers and industry representatives and highlighted quality infrastructure development and investment in Asia, and policy tools and recommendations for supporting sustainable infrastructure investment.
