Chao-Hung Kuo

Doctor Chao-Hung Kuo is the current Superintendent of Kaohsiung Municipal Siaogang Hospital (KMSH).

He is also a Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at Kaohsiung Medical University where he was a Ph.D. Graduate from the KMU Institute of Clinical Medicine. 

Doctor Chao-Hung Kuo also served as Chief of Digestive Endoscopy Center of KMSH, Chief Executive of Kaohsiung Healthy City Promotion Center, and former Director of Kaohsiung Healthy Harbor City Association.

YuanShanTze flood Diversion Project

The YuanShanTze Diversion Project drastically reduced floods in Xinzhi, which has suffered from regular water inundation from 1999 to 2005. Since its completion, the project has diverted water 44 times, with volumes reaching up to 200 millions m³. It has also reduced downstream flood hazard for 13 years, allowing savings of up to US$ 1.6 billion.
