Bernard is currently undertaking the role of Team Leader for the High Volume Transport (HVT) Applied Research Programme. Prior to joining the HVT Team,  he was the Managing Director at Roughton Group.  Bernard has over 30 years of experience in transportation and infrastructure finance. Previous employers include the World Bank in Washington D.C, DFID and Owen Williams. He has been directly responsible for overall direction and management of over 50 major infrastructure projects, predominantly in Africa, Central Asia, The Pacific, the UK and Europe.

Christopher is the Business Development Manager at ALTIUS based in Brussels. He used to work as Head of Business Development at UITP. He has 25 years of experience in the service industry.
He has a proven record of being an efficient leader with an analytical mindset and hands-on experience in translating business requirements to proactive tailor-made solutions. He has broad expertise in setting up international footprints and preparing strategies for effective execution.

Jim Fletcher, P.E. has demonstrated project management experience in design, planning and implementation for transit and transportation projects nationally and internationally exemplified by his work as Project Director for the Automated Transit Systems at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris and as Technical Project Manager of Schedule Risk Assessment for the Seismic Retrofit of the Suspension Span for the San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge.

Sabah Shamsy is experienced in project cycle management and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) obtained from international aid development organizations. She designed, planned and implemented innovative projects on Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy with IT solutions, and has finely tuned analytical skills with dedication to identify and apply socio economic principles and Results/Logical frameworks (GIZ, DFID, SDG, OECD DAC) to reach effective outputs.

Levent Toprak first gained experience in innovation and transport at Daimler AG in Berlin. He expanded his knowledge of smart mobility when he joined the Innovation Centre for Mobility and Societal Change (InnoZ), and supported the innovation activities of the Deutsche Bahn. He was also responsible for realizing innovative concepts and managing various partners from the fields of science, politics, economics and academics. He also applied his experience in innovative mobility projects to a more international framework within the Sustainable Mobility Project at GIZ. 

As National Project Coordinator and Advisor for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO 26000), Melissa Pizana-Cruz does capacity development for management systems and best practices for the ASEAN Ports and serves as the CSR expert responsible for the management and organization of activities to support the implementation of the Sustainable Port Development Project in the Philippines and other ASEAN countries. 

Bertrand GOALOU is leading urban transport and railways initiatives in the Transport Sector Office at the Asian Development Bank, with a focus on Emerging Areas in the context of decarbonization of Transport. With more than 24 years of experience in the sector, Bertrand’s expertise covers all stages of the project cycle. He joined ADB in 2010 and devised sustainable urban transport projects in Central West Asia, promoting innovation and a transformative approach.
