Arnold Tukker

Arnold Tukker is a Professor of Industrial Ecology and the Scientific Director of the Institute of Environmental Sciences at Leiden University. He also serves as a senior researcher at TNO, a large Dutch not-for-profit research organization. Arnold has set up prominent EU projects in the field of sustainable product design (SusProNet) and sustainable consumption and production (SCORE!) and was a core member of the Dutch Knowledge Network on Sustainable System Innovations.

Solid Waste Management - Learnings from the Netherlands

The ADB’s Solid Waste Management Community of Practice facilitated a knowledge-sharing session on 21 May. The session aimed to highlight and discuss best practices and lessons learned from the Netherlands’ experience on solid waste management.

The session featured its keynote speaker, Prof. Arnold Tukker from the Institute of Environmental Sciences at Leiden University.

Loraine Gatlabayan

Loraine Gatlabayan is currently an SCP Expert in the SWITCH-Asia Sustainable Consumption and Production Facility supported by the European Union. She did consultancy work from 2013-2018 in the Asian Development Bank, the United Nations Environment Programme - Regional Office in Asia and Pacific based in Bangkok, Thailand and the Asia-Pacific Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) activities, where she is currently treasurer and board member.

Kartika Anggraeni

Kartika Anggraeni currently works with the Collaborating Centre on Sustainable Consumption and Production (CSCP) based in Wuppertal, Germany, as project manager. After co-implementing the EU SWITCH-Asia Network Facility project (2012 – 2017), she now manages three Switch projects, i.e. the Switch Africa Green “GOALAN Kenya”, Switch Africa Green “SUS ISLAND Mauritius” and SWITCH-Asia “PERETO Kyrgyzstan” to continue advancing sustainable consumption and production (SCP) practices in other regions.
