VIDEO: DAY 2 Transforming Women's Lives through Infrastructure - Transport

Day 2 (i) elaborate on gender inequalities linked to systemic and structural issues in the transport sector; (ii) share gender design entry points that will lead to inclusive and sustainable transport policies and project outcomes; (iii) showcase ADB project examples that have brought or expected to bring transformative change in women’s lives; and (iv) provide an opportunity to put new knowledge into practice with interactive exercises in a virtual setting.

VIDEO: DAY 1 Transforming Women's Lives through Infrastructure Sector Training on Gender Mainstreaming

The 4-day gender training is targeted at staff in ADB HQ Sector Divisions and Resident Mission Operations Departments to ensure a better understanding of key gender issues and possible gender entry points in three infrastructure sectors: transport; water; and energy. Participants will learn from experts and peer exchange of project experiences on good practices on gender. Participants will also increase their knowledge of ADB’s gender categorization system and related requirements in the project cycle through background reading and plenary discussion.

Keiju Mitsuhashi

Keiju Mitsuhashi is Energy Director, covering Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Southeast Asia and the Pacific energy operations. 

Keiju has more than 25 years of professional work experience, including over 15 years in ADB. He has extensive experience in upstream to downstream activities of project financing covering, power generation, transmission and distribution systems.
