Zhenglian Wang

Dr. Zhenglian Wang, received PhD degree in Health Science (Medical Demography) of Medical School of University of Southern Denmark in 2001, and graduated from Department of computer science of Peking University in 1982. She is currently a Senior Research Fellow at China Population and Development Research Center and a Senior Research Scientist at Center for Population Health and Aging of Population Research Institute at Duke University.

New Technologies, Ageing Population and Comparative Well-being: A Case Study of India

In this presentation, the author examined the patterns of labor force participation among the older population in India through different factors such as socio-demographics. He also looked into the determinants of “better jobs” among the older population, and examined the association between technologies in jobs and other factors. He also examined the association between different jobs and satisfaction levels and well-being of the older population.

Rafal Chomik

Rafal Chomik is an economist specialising in social policy, poverty, and population ageing. He is also an expert in data visualisation and policy-oriented research translation. Mr. Chomik has previously worked for the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the British Government, and has been a consultant to the World Bank (WB), the United Nations (UN), the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
