International Anticorruption Day

Since 2011, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has observed International Anticorruption Day on 9 December to commemorate the United Nations Convention Against Corruption's passage in 2003. Bank-wide events are held to raise staff awareness of anticorruption issues and ADB’s fight against these.

ADB’s commitment against corruption is aligned with the goals of Strategy 2030. Strategy 2030 acknowledges that corruption and lack of transparency have significant and disruptive effects on inclusive growth and economic development in ADB’s developing member countries (DMCs).
