Samantha O’Riordan

Samantha O’Riordan is the Giga Program Officer at ITU for the joint ITU and UNICEF Giga initiative, which aims to connect every school to the Internet and every young person to information, opportunity, and choice.

Samantha has worked on multiple information, communications, and technology programs in the private sector and the UN.  Prior to joining ITU Samantha worked at the GSMA, and for multiple European telecommunication operators and service providers.

Ms. O’Riordan holds a Masters in International Business and a BSc in International Business with French.

Nonglak Pagaiya

Dr. Nonglak Pagaiya is an academic from Khon Kaen university Thailand, focused on human resources for health management, policy and planning. She has accumulated over 20 years of experience in working for and advising Ministries of Health in Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia, and the Maldives in human resource planning for health with a strong focus on skill development for primary care, and long-term care.

 

James Buchan

Prof Buchan has specialized in healthcare workforce policy analysis throughout his career. His background includes working at the national level in the National Health Service in Scotland, his home country, and as a  specialist adviser to  Health Workforce Australia, a federal government agency. He has also worked for WHO in Geneva and Copenhagen. He is currently working as an adviser in Europe, Asia, and the Pacific, for governments and international agencies such as ICN, WHO, World Bank.
