Corruption threatens climate finance by raising the costs of and exacerbating the effects of climate change. The use of natural resources in most climate finance-funded projects contributes to environmental destruction and misuse of resources. Supporting country-driven climate change priorities through the establishment of a national climate fund should be considered.
