Training on Successful Implementation of a Digital Financial Services for Health Project: Practical Considerations

Digital financial services (DFS) are financial transactions, including banking, insurance, and payment services that can be accessed via digital channels. ADB DMCs can make significant progress in applying DFS to health programs, supporting progress to universal health coverage.

Under Strategy 2030, ADB will sustain its efforts to eradicate extreme poverty and expand its vision to achieve a prosperous, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable Asia and the Pacific. Health sector development is one of the key operational priorities under the Strategy 2030. ADB will support its developing member countries to achieve better health for all as well as other service delivery in social sectors for those in need.

Shreehari Acharya

Shreehari Acharya is a public health professional with over 15 years of experience working across Asia, including Nepal, Bangladesh, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. Currently, he serves as Program Manager of the CSO Platform at ALIGHT South East Asia, based in Thailand, where he leads regional initiatives to strengthen health and community systems, supports civil society engagement, and promotes equitable access to malaria and other health services, particularly for remote, marginalized, ethnic, mobile, and migrant populations.
