NWTF’s dedicated team of solar officers orient MFI clients on the benefits of using solar, provide basic troubleshooting when needed, and contribute to portfolio growth by adding more loans.

Solar Boats: A New Paradigm to Respectfully Sail the Seas

Many Asian countries rely heavily on the ocean as a principal source of income, mainly from fishing and tourism. While clean mobility has the spotlight on land, little has been done to render marine transportation cleaner and more cost-effective for low-income fishermen or small business owners. Millions of small boats roam the Asian seas most often propelled by outdated engines with high fuel consumption and environmental impact. This presentation explores pragmatic and efficient eco-alternatives to polluting boats, leveraging on the ever more efficient renewable energy technologies.

Accelerating Clean Energy Investment in Indonesia Through Financial Intervention

This presentation gave an overview of PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur and the concrete steps they are taking to support the development of green energy Indonesia, and their initiatives in sustainable financing. It also discussed their strategic partnerships with bilateral and multilateral institutions, capacity building and research collaborations, and project screening tools for renewable energy power plant projects.
