Agnes Surry

Agnes Surry joined the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) in September 2022 and is Deputy Head of Capacity Building and Training and Senior Economist.

Her areas of interest include development and public finance, aid effectiveness, climate change adaptation, gender equality, social policies, fiscal policies, public debt sustainability, resource mobilization, and country risk analysis.

Ceren Güven Güres

Ceren Güven Güres has been appointed as Country Programme Manager for Uzbekistan as of 25 April 2023. She has 15 years of professional experience managing peace, humanitarian and development programmes as well as partnership and advocacy work in various duty stations. Prior to her assignment in Uzbekistan, she was serving as the Strategic Planning and UN Coordination Specialist (OiC) for UN Women in Europe and Central Asia (ECA) since May 2022 after she joined the organization as a Programme Specialist in October 2021.

Ozoda Parpiboyeva

Ozoda Parpiboyeva has been heading the Committee of Family and Women of the Republic of Uzbekistan since the beginning of 2023. The Committee is entrusted with the tasks of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of women and ensuring guarantees of gender equality. Led by Ozoda Parpiboeva, the Committee is active and has already managed to unite about 10 thousand activists throughout the country, who help identify vulnerable families and women most in need of state support and protection of their rights.
