Devisari Tunas is the Scenario Coordinator for the Archipelago Cities at the Future Cities Laboratory (FCL) of the Singapore-​ETH Centre. Trained as an architect and urban planner, she obtained her Ph.D. degree in Urbanism from Delft University of Technology (The Netherlands) and Master's degree in both “Conservation of historic buildings and towns”, and “Social and cultural anthropology” from Katholieke Universitet Leuven (Belgium).

Using Big Data to Improve Urban Planning: Experiences from Indonesia

Stephen Cairns from Singapore-ETH Centre’s Future Cities Laboratory is presenting ur-scape, a geo-spatial tool that integrates and visualizes data at multiple scales to support urban planning. Experiences of use cases in Indonesian cities supported by ADB’s Regional Technical Assistance on Smart Cities are presented and lessons for ADB’s work in cities are drawn.
