Manasa Tusulu

Manasa Tusulu is the Manager of the Strategic Planning Unit and also the Executive Officer in the Institutional Reform Unit. He joined the Water Authority of Fiji in 2012 and has over 9 years of experience working in the water sector. He is today leading a team of in-house business analysts and also working with 11 specialists from SMEC towards enhancing and building capacity within WAF in various key areas such as NRW, Liquid Tradewaste, Demand Management, Catchment Management, etc. 

Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum

Mr. Sayed-Khaiyum is the Fijian Attorney-General and the Minister for Economy, Public Enterprises, Civil Service, and Communications, and the minister responsible for climate change. He is the second-ranking elected official in the country. Mr. Sayed-Khaiyum oversaw the creation of a climate change unit in the Office of the Attorney-General to examine legal matters pertaining to climate change that are often omitted from public discussions, such as how to protect the human rights of people who are displaced by the effects of climate change.

Mosese Nariva

Mosese Nariva is the Manager for Laboratories & Water Treatment for the Water Authority of Fiji. He manages 55 Water Treatment Plant throughout the country, 2 regional water quality labs, and the National Lab based in Suva. He spent the last 7 years with the Water Authority of Fiji. He graduated from UNESCO IHE in Delft, the Netherlands with M.Sc. in Water Management in 2018.
 

Daiana Legalega

Daiana Legalega spent the last 7 years at the Water Authority of Fiji. Started as an Environment Officer in 2014 and appointed in 2016 as a Technical Officer for Water Safety Plan. She has compiled Water Safety Plans for all 55 Water Treatment Plants in Fiji and 11 Wastewater Safety Plan. She has started her review last year and currently in progress. She has a Bachelor of Environmental Science and Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Conservation and Climate Change from Fiji National University.

This event highlighted the intricacies of building modern land administration systems from conceptualization as a "smart" initiative in Suva, Fiji to project implementation and systems deployment in select Philippine cities.

Mobilizing and Allocating Resources and the Development of Public-Private Partnerships

Private sector resources are essential to the growth and sustainability of quality technical and vocational education and training (TVET) systems in the Asia and Pacific region, and not simply about getting more money. Creating the right environment for sustainable financing will help achieve TVET and national policy objectives.
