Oliana is a Regional Director at the EITI International Secretariat and supports the Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia team. Her work focuses on coordinating and supporting EITI processes in portfolio countries; leading regional coordination, networking and capacity building; providing expertise on beneficial ownership transparency across implementing countries; and supporting the Governance and Oversight Committee.

Ramandeep Chhina

Dr. Ramandeep Chhina is an International anti-money laundering and combating financing of terrorism (AML/CFT) expert working in this field since 2005. She has worked as a solicitor in the Economic Crime department of a law firm in England and Wales (UK). For the past nearly ten years, Ramandeep is working in academia doing research in the field of international trade finance and financial crime, particularly on issues relating to fraud, money laundering and bribery in international trade transactions.

Maira Martini

Maíra Martini is the Research and Policy Expert on corrupt money flows at the Transparency International Secretariat in Berlin (TI-S) and leads the TI movement work on illicit financial flows, anti-money laundering, and beneficial ownership transparency. She is the author of several TI reports on these issues. Maíra is part of the Global Anti-Corruption Consortium, a ground-breaking partnership with investigative journalists from the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project.

Stephen Abbott Pugh

Stephen Abbott Pugh is Open Ownership’s Data and Technology Manager. He looks after the overall technical roadmap for the organisation, providing technical assistance to governments with implementing technology reforms to advance beneficial ownership transparency. He is the product owner of the Beneficial Ownership Data Standard and the Open Ownership Register, along with a range of other technical products.

This session continued the discussion on BO data collection and disclosures, mainly focusing on technical considerations, data standard, and the challenges faced.
