Guidance note on large hydropower plants disclosed to the public

The Guidance Note on Large Hydropower Plants has been made public online since 13 February to generate comments from stakeholders in different sectors. The main objective of the note is to support project teams in ADB in the planning, design, and development of large hydropower plants according to the requirements set forth in the (i) ADB Energy Policy 2021, (ii) ADB Safeguard Policy Statement 2009 (SPS 2009), (iii) ADB Water Sector Directional Guide, (iv) ADB Paris Agreement Alignment (PAA) Guidance Note, and the (v) Common Principles of Climate Mitigation Finance Tracking.

MARES High-Level Forum Held in Malaysia

18th Asia Clean Energy Forum set

This year’s ACEF will be held in-person from 13-16 June at the ADB Headquarters with the theme, Navigating toward a Carbon-Neutral Future through Clean Energy Solutions. The Forum will comprise a diverse set of discussions, including Thematic Track Sessions, Deep Dive Workshops, Spotlight Sessions, Regional Sessions, and Plenary Sessions. The event will once again include informal networking sessions to stimulate that sense of in-person connection that has been missing during the COVID-19 pandemic.
