Series: ADB Data Room: Pakistan Resident Mission's Capacity Development Resource Center (PRM CDRC) ADB Business Opportunity Seminar in Pakistan 2024 3 June 2024 ADB, the World Bank, and Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), on 3 June, presented procurement policies and best practices at a Joint Business Opportunity Seminar held in Islamabad by the Contractors Association of Pakistan and the Association of Consulting Engineers Pakistan in collaboration with the multilateral development banks (MDBs). The event brought together 107 participants from national and international contracting and consulting firms to discuss capacity issues, business and partnerships opportunities in the development projects. The seminar supported by PRM’s Capacity Development Resource Center featured presentations from PRM’s principal procurement specialist Bisma Husen and senior procurement officer Mohsen I. Khan. ADB staff shared key aspects of the procurement guidelines and procedures, best practices, and business opportunities, followed by an interactive session providing clarifications and guidance on key issues and business opportunities.
