Gender Month 2022: Women Leading Towards An Equal, Greener and More Resilient Future
Empowering women to participate fully in economic and social life is essential to building strong economies, establishing stable and just societies, and improving the quality of life for men, women, and our communities.
Under ADB’s Strategy 2030, gender equality is one of seven operational priorities. By 2030, 75% of committed projects and programs will promote gender equality.
ADB celebrates Gender Month during March every year as an opportunity to reflect on progress made in promoting gender equality and encourage increased participation of women in building a stronger and more prosperous Asia and the Pacific region.
With the theme, "Women Leading Towards an Equal, Greener and More Resilient Future," Gender Month 2022 celebrated and recognized the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and response, building a more sustainable future for all.
