This presentation discusses the impact of COVID-19 on population health, framework for outbreak detection and response, and dynamic adjustment of interventions to suppress transmission. Crucial health services have dropped and some medical prevention and treatment programs are at risk of being delayed or cancelled, leading to more serious concerns. A rethinking of current medical service, delivery, and response models and environmental protection programs is key to future outbreak preparedness.
