Expert-Practitioner Workshop and Korea Showcase: Startup Ecosystem Development

The Asian Development Bank (ADB), in partnership with a variety of public and private partners, initiated a program to help its member countries evolve enabling startup ecosystems. In 2019, a workshop on “Tech Start-ups Support Program in Asia and the Pacific” was organized in Seoul. Building on this engagement, ADB organized an Expert-Practitioner Workshop & Korea Showcase on Startup Ecosystem Development, from 6-10 November 2023 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Participants were exposed to the Korean startup ecosystem development journey, current institutional arrangements and partnerships, and learned from the experiences of various stakeholders.
The workshop also provides an opportunity for participating representatives from 11 developing member countries to feature their work on startup ecosystem development, to forge new partnerships, and to engage in dialogue with ADB staff on future opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
