Coastal and Port Engineering: Building Lines of Defense
18 June 2026

Ports and coastal infrastructure face growing risks from sea level rise, stronger storms, and changing coastal dynamics. This webinar explored how nature-based, hybrid, and adaptive approaches can strengthen resilience while supporting environmental stewardship and operational continuity.

Through global case studies and practical examples, participants will learn how green and eco-engineered defenses, living shorelines, beneficial reuse of dredged material, and adaptive design strategies can help ports manage climate risks, protect critical assets, and create long-term value.

This webinar was the eighth in the Green Ports Webinar Series, organized by the ASEAN Catalytic Green Finance Facility (ACGF) and hosted by the Southeast Asia Development Solutions platform and Development Asia of the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

ACGF, an ASEAN Infrastructure Fund initiative, supports governments in Southeast Asia in preparing and financing infrastructure projects that advance environmental sustainability and strengthen climate resilience. ACGF is owned by ASEAN governments and ADB.
