2nd e-Procurement Education Program in Asia and Pacific Region
28 April to 2 May 2025

From 28 April to 2 May 2025, the 2nd e-Procurement Education Program was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, organized by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in collaboration with the Public Procurement Service of Korea (PPS) and the Korea Institute of Procurement (KIP). The program brought together 15 procurement officials from ADB developing member countries (DMCs) for a week-long training focused on advancing knowledge and practical skills in electronic government procurement (e-GP).

Key sessions included country report presentations, technical lectures on Korea’s public procurement system and support for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and hands-on practice using Korea’s integrated e-GP system (KONEPS). Participants gained insights into regulatory frameworks, e-marketplace development, innovation-driven procurement, and digitalization strategies. Collaborative workshops on Action Plans and Project Concept Papers fostered peer learning and strategic planning for e-GP reforms in home countries.

Tran Xuan Tho, representing ADB’s e-procurement team, delivered a presentation on the use of e-GP in ADB-financed projects. Follow-up activities are anticipated to deepen institutional linkages and advance national e-procurement reforms.
