Since June 2017, Dr O.P. Agarwal is the country director of the World Resources Institute in India and is also the Chief Executive Officer of WRI (India). Prior to this, from 2009 to 2016, he was the World Bank’s Urban Transport Adviser located at its headquarter in in Washington DC. As part of this he has guided urban transport projects in many parts of the world, including India, China, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, South Africa, Kenya, etc. He has travelled extensively and has a very good overview of urban transport systems across the world.
