With the goal of creating affordable sanitation, this session explored various ways that make financing of sanitation and wastewater management possible.

A low-cost wastewater treatment that developing countries can consider is duckweed. It is energy-efficient, cost-effective, and applicable under a wide variety of rural and urban conditions. This presentation features the duckweed-based wastewater treatment system in Mirzapur, Bangladesh, as a case study.
