Joris van Etten

As Senior Urban Development Specialist, Joris van Etten is out-posted by ADB’s Southeast Asia Urban and Water Division to the ADB Indonesia Resident Mission. He oversees the processing and administration of all future and ongoing urban projects in Indonesia financed by ADB. Prior to moving to Indonesia, Joris was with ADB’s Sustainable Development and Climate Change Department and coordinated ADB’s Smart Cities work, and helped draft ADB’s Livable Cities operational priority plan.

Vijay Padmanabhan

An Engineer-Urban Planner, Vijay is the Operations Director for urban development and water in the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Southeast Asia Region and manages a $3 billion portfolio. With 23 years of professional experience, he has led multi-sector teams in designing and delivering large and complex projects on urban development, water, and sanitation across several countries in the Asia-Pacific Region.
