Sattor Saidov

Mr. Sattor Saidov is the current head of the Climate Change and Ozone Layer Research Centre of the Agency on Hydrometeorology of the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. He is a holder of a degree in Programming from the Tajik University of Technology and qualifications in Satellite Meteorology and Global Climate from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Since June 2022, Mr. Saidov has coordinated releasing national communications of Tajikistan under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

Lessons Learned from ‘Type 2’ Adaptation Projects in Central and West Asia

Central and West Asia Department led a panel to present experiences in developing, processing, and implementing ‘Type 2’ adaptation projects.

This webinar covered a range of issues including upstream project programming, climate change modeling, and risk assessments, expertise requirements, government capacity and buy-in, adaptation measures, and impacts and metrics. The panel included representatives of the Government of Punjab, Pakistan, and the World Bank​​​.
